2012 marks the 10th anniversary of Suzuki ATVs assembled in the U.S.A. Suzuki Manufacturing of America Corp. (SMAC), located in Rome, Georgia, started production in 2002, and has assembled more than 300,000 Suzuki ATVs since then. These ATVs are now delivered and sold in more than 60 countries around the world.
The SMAC facility sits on 35 acres in northwest Georgia, with a 130,000-square-foot-plus facility and nearby space for product testing. Nearly 150 employees assemble Suzuki KingQuad ATVs here. The plant proudly marked 10 years of safe work with no lost-time incidents.
Currently assembled at SMAC are the KingQuad 400, 500 and 750 ATVs, including power-steering models. You can go behind the scenes and watch a KingQuad 750 being made in this video from How Stuff Works.com - http://science.howstuffworks.com/transport/engines-equipment/atv-factory-tour.htm
