CARMICHAEL 6TH AFTER CRASHING

April 24, 2006

Team Suzuki Press Office – April 23, 2006.

A heavy crash on the fifth lap of Saturday’s Dallas Supercross dropped World and AMA Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael down to sixth position overall, but he still leads the series.

The 26-year-old Florida rider dropped outside the top eight, but still managed to climb two places despite riding with a damaged machine.

Team mate Ivan Tedesco held his position all race to finish fourth behind Honda’s Nick Wey.

With two rounds remaining in Seattle and Las Vegas, Carmichael holds a narrow two-point lead over Reed (296 to 294) with Stewart in third and Tedesco fourth.
