Professional rider on closed course competition.

(Jennings, FL) March 25, 2006 – Team Vesrah Suzuki dominated the opening round of the WERA National Endurance Series held at Jenning GP in North Florida.

Mark Junge, Tray Batey and John Jacobi piloted their Pirelli shod Suzuki GSX-R1000 to victory lane lapping the field in the process. The 6 hour race was marred by several red flags which kept the field close together but broke the race into several shorter legs playing havoc with team strategies. Twice the Vesrah Suzuki team closed to within a few seconds of putting the second place team, Red Star, a lap down only to have the red flag come out, stop the race and wash away their lead.

“All the guys did exactly what we had to do to win.” said team owner and rider Mark Junge. “The team was great in the pits and the riders were patient and consistent.”

The WERA National Endurance Series moves to Talladega Grand Prix for round 2 on April 8th.
